Pearl onions are one of my favorite dinnertime ingredients, but they can be tremendously pesky to peel. I recently came across this handy tip on how to easily remove the skins from these little guys, and it worked like a charm.
Just a few easy steps:
Step 1: Cut roots off onions (or don't if you don't mind the root. And if you forget, you can do this later)
Step 2: Dump the onions into a pot of boiling water
Step 3: Transfer onions to ice bath
Step 4: Squeeze each onion-- it pops right out of its skin!
